HOT Summer Trend - Hair Chalking

We are head over heels for one of this Summers hottest beauty trends - hair chalking.  Fun can be had on a whim with this super temporary method that applies as easily as it washes out the next day.  We're wild about shades of pink and turquoise. The Beauty Department, one of my top go-to beauty blogs, shares several of their favorite methods for snagging this style including my faaavorite using art supply chalk pastels.  Color Bug by Kevin Murphy is another simple color chalking product that is getting a lot of positive feedback on the social media scene lately.  What do you think??  Would you try this trend on for size this Summer??

Spotted on pinterest these edgy manicures are perhaps not for everyone but definitely are worth a spin if you aren't afraid of trying something a little different and eye catching. I'm definitely not one for the same old, same old...if I actually had something that resembled nails you can bet I would be willing to rock this one out. Oh...one can dream.

Marvelous Mint

Mint!! I know the proclaimed color of the year is some sort of shade of orange...and that's all fine and good but personally I'm seeing green. Minty green to be precise. There is something about this shade that's fresh and brings with it that undeniable feeling of Spring. Get your green on!!

We all know I'm a fan of the glittery, shiny things!! The one glitter nail trend doesn't seem to be going anywhere and for this I am grateful. I love these fun variations on the style, they even look great on short nails - which means I'm in luck!! I admit though to being slightly distracted when driving when rocking a cute glitter nail mani. This Momma needs to learn to keep her eyes on the road and off her sparkle!!
