This past weekend my oldest turned 4 years old and we had an absolute blast celebrating the big day. Hand picked by Aiden...I am pleased to present the presents that packed the most praises from my pre-schooler.
1. Little Hero Cape, US$40, available at Discovery Denim on Etsy. Aiden has been wearing this for 2 days straight..he is a super hero from breakfast through dinner. Especially when he eats his vegetables.
2. Cariboo by Cranium, $24.99, available at Toys"R"Us. We have spent hours playing this magical game made specially for pre-schoolers. Unlock secret doors while learning shapes, colors, letters and numbers and discover hidden treasures. Aiden's favorite gift of the bunch.
3. Creativity for Little Kids - Make Your Own Sock Puppet Kit, $23.95, available at Mastermind Toys. This kit contains enough to create 3 fun, fuzzy sock puppets with no glue required. Aiden had the time of his life putting these together. Hours of laughter and creativity in one box. But no...sock puppets monsters will not help you eat your broccoli. Nice try though.
4. 1 GB Green iPod Shuffle, $54.99, available at The Source. The perfect introductory MP3 player. I have one of these in purple which I use for working out and Aiden is always stealing it. Well now he has one all of his own. Fun color, sturdy build and holds up to 240 songs with simple controls. Kiddos can just clip on and go. Suddenly you have silence...what do you know, it's a gift that pleases everyone.5. Thomas & Friends Talking Railway - Cranky at the Docks, $79.99, available at Toys"R"Us. Since bringing home the Thomas & Friends wooden railway table and co-ordinates 2 years ago we have consistently been on the look-out for new and exciting add-ons for the set. It is after all Aiden's first go-to toy in our busy playroom. Sir Topham Hatt personally greets engines from the 'talking railway' series and Cranky's magnetized crane lifts loads onto waiting trucks. This Cranky makes Aiden anything but. A sure fire hit.
