More Scrapbooking with Pre-Schoolers

My little girl created her first ever scrapbook page today!! Scrapbooking with pre-schoolers is much simpler than it sounds and your little one will be SO proud of their finished product that you will be sure to want to create an entire album together!! Nothing is more gratifying than creating a beautiful keepsake together that you will cherish for years to come. Check out the article we wrote back in 2009 on tips for scrapbooking with your preschooler - HERE.

More Baby Album Layouts..

I'm pleased to announce that FINALLY, almost 6 years later, my sons baby album is at last complete..and my daughters is well on it's way. Now that I have scratched that seriously overdue project off the list I can put a little more time into finishing other scrapbooking projects. I have now dedicated one evening a week to my hobby in hopes that I can start making some kind of serious progress. My kids really enjoy looking through their half finished albums...it really makes it worth the effort to get them all finished up.

Hey Baby!!

I have been working diligently on finishing up the end of my sons baby book. He is now 5!! Needless to say I am eager to wind up this album so I can work on some more current projects. Looking through all of the older photos definitely brought on a few teary Mommy moments. *sob* They grow up so quickly!!

More Scrapbooking with Kids

Last year I posted about introducing my then 4 year old son to scrapbooking. This momma has a serious passion for paper crafting so I was eager to get my little one in on the action too for some special mommy and son craft time. All this time later and my little guy still has a passion for scrapbooking...and he's getting pretty good too!!! We sat down this afternoon with a favorite photo of my son learning to ride his new bicycle and decided to put together something new for his growing scrapbook. I'm proud to say Aiden handpicked all of the papers and embellishments that were used and even glued and placed them down himself (Mommy did the cutting).

If you love scrapbooking try introducing your preschooler to the craft as well. Check out our article on Scrapbooking with Preschoolers HERE.

I Resolve...

I am TERRIBLE at sticking to my new years resolutions..I admit it...and that is exactly why I decided to create this layout. Every time I open my scrapbook to create something new this page will be staring right back at me. There is no escaping it. I chose 11 goals, both big and small, and put them out there for all to see. So far I am chipping away little by little at making some of these things happen. 9.5 more months to go. Better hustle.

Hi

A page I made recently, while catching up on my daughters baby book, to remember the special moment when my son met his baby sister for the very first time. Good things come to those who wait.

A Christmas Album

Last Christmas I created my very first holiday mini album as a gift to my brother and new sister in law. For obvious reasons I didn't share these photos online last year but I am proud to show off my work here now. I am so excited to get working on some new projects this year. Tis the season to get creative!!I created the album by cutting out some ornament shapes from some thin chipboard and embellishing with holiday themed papers, ribbons and other embellishments. Most of the papers and embellishments seen were from a kit I purchased last season by DCWV.

Sweet & Simple Thank You Cards

Thank You Card#1 -

I created this card with some help from picnik.com (my secret weapon of choice). After printing out the finished photo I added some hand painted flourishes, pink glitter and a pretty co-ordinating button and brad. I am totally thrilled with the finished product. Total time - 10 minutes.
Thank You Card #2 -

A simple and very personal keepsake card I created while inspired by an earlier lobster craft I had done with my pre-schooler. I think I may actually just keep this all to myself..it's too precious to give away!!! Total Time - 10 minutes

Welcome Arianna Wall Art

I took some time out from packing up boxes the other day to frame a keepsake memento for Arianna's new nursery. The certificate was a gift from the Welcome Wagon and was signed by the towns mayor. Mounting the certificate on some cardstock, matting on some pretty patterned paper and adding some leftover scrapbooking supplies made it extra special. I love the little personal touches in a room.

One of the pen pal packages I put together tonight. Some lucky girl is going to have this land on her doorstep this week.

19th Birthday Card

I created this fun birthday card for my sisters 19th a few weeks back. After I gave it to her I realized maybe a cosmo martini would have been more suitable than a cupcake..oh well..I'm still pretty proud of the finished product. This was my very first attempt at card making!!
