First off I have to give many thank you's to my friend and fellow Glamour Mom Lindsey Helmus for this one. Lindsey is soon to be a featured contributor here and always has plenty of great ideas to inspire me with daily.
These aggression cookies are the perfect way for your kiddos to work out some of that pent up energy and the sweet reward at the end are cookies that they can boast they made all by themselves. I tweaked Lindsey's recipe just a little by adding the egg substitute which helps with adding some moisture to a cookie that we complained was a little on the dry side without it. Since this dough will be beaten and mixed with little hands it's best to keep eggs out of the equation.
Ingredients -
3 cups oats
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups butter
Egg substitute for 2 eggs (I prefer using EnerG Egg Replacer)
Directions -
Dump all ingredients into a large bowl. Mash it!! Pound it!!Let your children squeeze and mix the dough with their hands. The more squeezes, the better the cookies. Roll dough into small balls. Flatten the balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 mins at 350 degrees.
