The Daily Play - Leaf People

Yes - we are STILL collecting fall leaves. It seems we cannot take a few steps outside of the front door without a handful of leaves being grabbed and stashed away for later. It's a good thing these kiddos have a creative Mama!! Our most recent nature inspired project - leaf people!! My son says this picture is of himself with his baby sister. Aw.

Leaf People

What You'll Need
  • Fall Leaves
  • Googly Eyes
  • Pipecleaners
  • Scissors
  • White Glue
  • White paper and crayons
How-To

1. Glue the leaves securely to the paper. Try using different shades and shapes of leaves. Add on googly eyes.

2. Trim pipecleaners to form arms and legs, use your favorite colors. Secure with white glue. If you're feeling extra creative feel free to accessorize your leaf people. Try hats, hairbows, a handbag..whatever.

3. Have your child draw a scene to complete the picture. Our leaf children are enjoying a walk in the sunshine.

Happy Crafting!!
