Teaching your toddler or pre-schooler color recognition?? This simple activity is a lot of fun and really drives home a basic and fundamental skill. Create separate containers from tupperware, bowls or empty yogurt containers and label each with a small piece of paper in a color you wish to work with. Cut scraps of colored paper and find random household objects to match your color choices. Have your child place the colored objects in the corresponding containers. Watch as your child wants to play this game again and again...
