Puffy Paint Hearts

Aiden made this beautiful Valentine for his Grandma..and we're sure she's going to LOVE it!! A fun keepsake project for any time of the year.

What you'll need -

A large heart cut from posterboard or cardstock
A paper plate
Red Tempera Paint
White Glue
Shaving Cream
Paintbrushes
White acrylic paint

1. On the paper plate mix together the red tempera paint, white glue and shaving cream to form your puffy paint.

2. Have your child use a thick paintbrush or a foam brush (which I find applies the paint better) to apply the paint. Try different techniques to create different textures. Allow the paint to dry overnight.

3. The next day apply a coat of white paint to your child's hand with the foam brush. Firmly press hand onto the middle of your heart to create a keepsake you will cherish for the years to come. Baby wipes make for quick hand clean up.
